Julia Inman, Creative Solutions

Julia Inman is a Louisville archetype – grew up here, went away to Georgetown University, played in DC for a while after graduation with a BS in Business Administration, then came home to start a new career and a family. And while she misses DC (visiting often), she loves living in Louisville so much she never regrets coming back.

Julia owns Creative Solutions, a consulting firm that offers vision-centered consulting for measurable results. Julia helps private, public and social profit businesses with project management, visioning/discovery, evaluation (success metrics), stakeholder development, team development and learning and grant writing.

Prior to owning her own business, Julia was the VP for Community Impact at Metro United Way, and fervently believes that, as Margaret Mead says, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” And prior to her experience in the social profit sector, Julia was a workforce development professional; Division Director for the Cabinet for Workforce Development, and Administrator for KentuckianaWorks, the local workforce investment board. Workforce development is still a passion, believing that a job with a good career ladder can truly break the cycle of poverty for individuals, and strengthen our community, contributing to our collective Quality of Place.

Julia is delighted to serve on the Center for Non-profit Excellence Board and has been the Annual Conference Chair for the past two conferences. She believes CNPE is a vital leader in navigating the crossroads Louisville is facing economically, in public leadership, and in building the assets that will continue grow Louisville as a mecca for the smartest, most interesting and most unusual people anywhere.
