Cyndi Moreno

Women 4 Women

Cyndi Moreno is the Director of Development of Women 4 Women (W4W). Founded in 1993, W4W is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and economic well-being of women and girls in Louisville, Kentucky. Moreno joined W4W in 2007 with the primary focus of raising $10 million for the community-based “Fund 4 Women and Girls” at the Community Foundation of Louisville. Through W4W programs such as the Champions 4 Her Annual Giving Club and W4W Founders, Moreno is funding and expanding the movement that is helping to build a city of “Champions 4 Her” in Louisville.

In 2007, Moreno graduated from Spalding University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications, Cum Laude and received the Sister Mary Ransom Burke Excellence in Scholarship Award for her contributions in the accelerated program.

Moreno joined Women 4 Women after five years as the Executive Director of Advancement for Assumption High School where she helped to raise over $3 million for the Mind, Body and Spirit Capital Campaign. She managed all fundraising and marketing efforts, including raising major gifts for the campaign and education endowment, directing special events, alumnae relations, public relations and admissions. Moreno authored a monthly article called Moving Forward in the parent and alumnae newsletters and received seven awards for publications during her leadership. Prior to her involvement with Assumption High School, Moreno was employed at the Jewish Hospital Foundation where she helped to raise money for medical research.

Nationally, Moreno is active in the Women’s Funding Network participating in conversations regarding the social, economic and philanthropic challenges that women face. She is a consummate advocate for education and access for women and girls. Locally, Moreno is active in her neighborhood association assisting in special events, activities and neighborhood involvement with non-profits.

Moreno is married, has two daughters and is a native Kentuckian. She is an avid reader and loves music.
