Historically, non-profit organizations have been behind their corporate counterparts in adopting information technology (IT). Usually lacking the budgets to invest in the latest and greatest systems and software tools, these organizations have made a habit of "making do", using a combination of old and new elements that often don't work well together. At the same time, dependence on these networks to manage data, communicate with staff and volunteers, perform accounting, and handle various other information tasks continues to grow. The reason to move ahead is clear; the cost-savings and productivity potential of secure, reliable, and high-performing IT networks are simply too great to ignore.

But how to proceed?

The Center for Nonprofit Excellence in partnership with University of Louisville's Nonprofit Innovation Center, Metro United Way, The Paul Ogle Foundation, and Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Louisville Branch invite you to a breakfast summit on Thursday, April 22 at 8:00 a.m. to host a discussion among nonprofit leaders to determine current realities, challenges and opportunities relative to information technology management. You will gain insights about where your organization rates compared with national norms and where our community stacks up. We will also explore how to build on past work and chart efficient, effective, and innovative technology practices across our entire nonprofit community.

Our keynote speaker will be John Hrusovsky, CEO, GroundWork group of Columbus, OH

Kye's is easy to find, located in the Water Tower Square Business Park in Jeffersonville, Indiana, just across the river from Louisville. Whichever direction you're coming from, use the water tower as your landmark. If you’re heading north from Louisville on the Second Street Bridge, take a left at the light at the foot of the bridge. For Kye’s, turn right and the building will be on your immediate left.
