Foundations
The Center for Nonprofit Excellence, like many other nonprofit organizations, often seeks the support of foundations. Foundations were also instrumental in forming CNPE as a means for nonprofit organizations to access information, learning, and consultation that leads to a more efficient and effective use of charitable dollars.
In addition to traditional grant support, we receive membership support from many public, private, and corporate foundations. This additional support is essential to reach the common objectives of both CNPE and our community's foundations.
These foundations see that given the support, learning, and planning the Center for Nonprofit Excellence provides to nonprofits in our region, we make foundation dollars go further towards the lasting public good. They also find benefit in our ability to help nonprofits learn and adopt best practices, share information, knowledge, and resources. These are the habits that allow Louisville and the sector to become collectively recognized as the home of an innovative and cutting-edge nonprofit sector.
