Legal Update: Review and Analysis of Key Concepts under the ADA

The Kentucky – Indiana Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America (KIPVA) offers the 2009-2010 American with Disabilities Act audio conference series at no charge to participants at its headquarters in Louisville, KY.
The first session, “Legal Update: Review and Analysis of Key Concepts under the ADA,” will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Session Description: The courts and federal agencies are shaping the ADA through their decisions and settlements. This session will review key issues that are currently before the courts and analyze the trends. Discussion will include some of the trends in case law at the lower courts which may have an impact on decisions at all levels, including issues that may find their way to the Supreme Court. In addition, presenter will review how the courts are interpreting the ADA Amendments Act of 2008.

ADA audio conference sessions are 90 minutes in length and delivered via audio conference. Participants are in a "listen-only" mode until the question and answer period. The sessions are offered real-time captioned on the Internet, and a transcript is developed and posted to the Internet following the session. In addition, a digital recording of the session is archived on the DBTAC: Great Lakes ADA Center web site at adagreatlakes.org.
