Opportunity
Youth services organization that has been in business 60 years is seeking a dynamic, motivated leader with executive level experience and proven ability to lead culture, manage performance, and impact fundraising and community awareness. Successful experience in securing funding from government, corporate, foundation, and private donor sources is preferred.
Skills/Requirements/Experience
Executive Leadership/Management
- Ability to effectively promote and represent the mission, vision and programs.
- Engage appropriate internal and external stakeholders in the organization’s activities, committees, and strategies, and as necessary, to negotiate solutions to complex problems
- Passion for helping youth and for building an engaged organizational culture.
- Ability to develop measure and manage program direction, strategy and accountability with positive outcomes (for youth) through management and leadership team.
Communication Skills
- Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, the governing board, donor and partners.
- Marketing skills to expand the community understanding and support for the mission
Financial/Budget
- Financial skills and literacy to review complex financial reports, prepared by others, and to make recommendations and adjustments necessary to meet strategic goals.
- Track record of effective control over all fiscal matters to ensure fiscal integrity, cost efficient operations, positive cash flow, and foundation security.
- Experience in forward planning utilizing the staff leadership to create results oriented budgets for their programs
Fundraising
- Actively cultivate potential donors and increase funding from diversified sources to permit the organization to meet mission and strategic goals.
- Experienced fund raiser with the personality and skills to lead an expansion of the organization’s recognition in the community
Environment
- Established programs and donor base.
- Engaged governing board.
- Long history of community service and youth services.
