KENTUCKY REFUGEE MINISTRIES

Title: Bookkeeper

Reports to: Controller 

Responsibilities Include: 

1) Manage and maintain daily General Ledger activities.

2) Prepare and review journal entries as they relate to month-end closing procedures.

3) Have direct responsibility to process and prepare checks for all requests relating to Clients expenditures and Administrative.

4) Have direct responsibility to analyze, review and reconcile bank transactions to ensure proper recognition of all transactions in an accurate and timely manner.

5) Work directly with the Controller in the accurate and timely preparation of the monthly Financial Reporting Package.

6) Initiate, create and manage process improvements for areas as agreed to with Controller, providing updates on daily tasks and initiating discussions to overcome roadblocks.

7) Review the payroll information prior to submitting the data to payroll service on a biweekly basis. Maintain personnel files as changes occur and assist new hires with the necessary paperwork.

8) Other responsibilities include ordering Office Supplies, Housekeeping supplies and miscellaneous general accounting functions as needed.
