Executive Director

Full Time: Louisville, KY

The Brain Injury Alliance of Kentucky

The position of executive director of the Brain Injury Alliance of Kentucky is recognized as a high visibility, management/leadership position. BIAK is a state-wide non-profit serving those affected by brain injury and brain tumors. The executive director assumes the broad responsibility of translating the goals and objectives of the organization into effective action. These goals include the general areas of advocacy, education and information dissemination, supportive services, and development of organization, resources and staff.

Responsibilities are centralized in the following areas: organizational development and administration; staff recruitment and supervision; support of families and individuals with brain injuries; fundraising and fiscal management; advocacy; public speaking and supporting a positive image for the organization.

Experience: Successful candidate must have experience working with a board of directors and volunteers; managing staff; marketing and fund development; public speaking; overseeing events; and program implementation. Experience with and knowledge of brain illnesses is preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required, graduate degree preferred

Salary: $53,000
