East Louisville Community Ministries Calls for Applicants for Board of Directors rss feed

ELCM Calls for Resumes

East Louisville Community Ministries (ELCM) is seeking qualified citizens to serve on their board of directors. Applicants must have a passion for the work that ELCM seeks to accomplish for the community, encapsulated in the organization’s mission statement:

The Mission of East Louisville Community Ministry, Inc. is to unite the congregations of Butchertown, East downtown area, Phoenix Hill, Shelby Park and Smoketown in ministering to the needs of their particular communities in a spirit of unity and love.

ELCM is an ecumenical community ministry sponsored by local churches and church-related organizations to provide a united ministry to nearby neighborhoods.

ELCM provides area churches with the opportunity to expand their individual social ministries to the community by working in collaboration with one another and in collaboration with the community at large. And, in spite of ELCM being largely ecumenical, it is interfaith-minded.

Ideal applicants should also have public relations, fundraising, and/or business experience. Previous board experience is beneficial but not required. Anyone interested in applying should send all questions and resumes to eastlouisvilleco@bellsouth.net.
