Don't Miss the Celebration of Recovery from Mental Illness rss feed

The 4th Annual Celebrate!Recovery Conference, July 15, Hyatt Regency Downtown, Louisville, KY

Bringing together consumers, providers, family members and community supporters to celebrate our roles in creating a recovery environment for persons in our region with serious mental illnesses.

The Conference Registration Deadline (July 8) for the 4th Annual Celebrate!Recovery Conference is fast approaching and you don’t want to miss a minute of this year’s celebration. The lineup includes celebration stories, an art show, great food, Champions in Recovery Awards and a workshop led by Award-Winning Canadian Actress Victoria Maxwell, a survivor in recovery from bi-polar disorder.  The Friday conference activities are free of charge, but you do need to register.  Call or email Melinda Kelly today at 589-8926 or mkelly@sevencounties.org to register.

Victoria will also perform two of her highly-acclaimed one women plays:

•    On Thursday evening, July 14th, she’ll present “Funny, You Don’t Look Crazy” at 7:00 p.m. at  the Baxter Avenue Theatres at Mid-City Mall. Admission for this performance is a $10 donation to SCS.

•    On Friday afternoon, she’ll perform “Head over Heels” at 4:00 p.m. at the Improv at 4th Street Live! This performance, immediately following the conclusion of Friday’s conference activities, is open to the public and free of charge. Food and drinks will be available.
