Louisville's Week Of Service
October has become the time for volunteering!
On Wednesday, July 27th, Mayor Fischer will announce that the week of October 17th-23rd will be a Week of Service in Louisville! This week of service in October occurs right in the middle of both the UPS Global Month of Caring and the Oldham County Cares Month.
Metro United Way, which is managing volunteer projects for the occasion, needs the nonprofit community to help build a list of volunteer projects for either that week specifically or anytime in October. Once you register your project, individuals can sign up to volunteer online, and we can get the whole community volunteering!
If your organization is planning a volunteer project, register the project through Metro Untied Way's website here.
MUW is looking for projects in their seven county service area, which includes Bullitt, Jefferson, Oldham and Shelby in Kentucky and Clark, Floyd and Harrison in Indiana.
