Spina Bifida Association of Kentucky Announces New Executive Director rss feed

It is with tremendous pleasure that the Spina Bifida Association of Kentucky’s Board of Directors introduces Colleen Payne as its new Executive Director. The Search Committee has worked very hard the past four months seeking out an individual who can take SBAK to the next level with integrity and passion, and she was in our own backyard. The Spina Bifida community from around the country and here locally within our own chapter know Colleen and the value she brings to this organization. The Board of Directors looks forward to working with Colleen and achieving our goals and plans for the future.

Colleen has served as SBAK’s Program Coordinator for the past year and a half, and she has dramatically increased the number and value of programs offered to families across the state. She previously worked at Berea College as a Grant Writer and Development Communications Coordinator. Colleen has a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of Evansville and a master’s in Journalism from Ohio University. She lives in Louisville with her husband, Blake, 2-year-old daughter, Georgia, and 5-year-old son, Nate, who was born with Spina Bifida.
