The Harrison County Community Foundation has awarded $669,418 to Various Agencies rss feed

The Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) has awarded $669,418 to various agencies serving the Harrison County community. Fall grant cycle grants were awarded to 30 agencies in the following focus areas:

Arts and Culture: $48,765
Community Projects: $14,000
Education: $304,063
Health and Safety: $72,000
Historical Preservation: $6,350
Human Services: $184,791
Recreation: $39,449

The largest grant award was made to North Harrison Elementary School in the amount of $81,475 to purchase two mobile laptop computer labs.

All grant recipients received invitations to a celebration reception at Horseshoe Southern Indiana.

Any agency that would like to apply for a grant from the HCCF is encouraged to send a representative to the next HCCF grant application workshop scheduled for Wednesday, November 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the HCCF Conference Room. Anyone who wishes to attend this workshop should RSVP to Anna Curts at 812-738-6668 or annac@hccfindiana.org.

The HCCF will accept Signature Grant requests from November 1, 2011 to December 15, 2011. Signature grant requests are $200,000 or more and may be reviewed and announced anytime in 2012.

Spring grant cycle requests will be accepted December 1, 2011 through January 13, 2012 with announcements being made in mid-March.
