JOB DESCRIPTION: 
The Vice President of Development and Communications is responsible for raising money to support the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana’s mission.  The responsibilities include the establishment and fulfillment of fund-raising objectives, the design and implementation of marketing, public information, and fund-raising programs, and the coordination and integration of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana’s efforts/activities in support of development goals. 

JOB EXPECTATIONS:
The Vice President of Development and Communications reports to the CEO.  The Vice President is responsible to the CEO for meeting the organization’s revenue goals.  As such, the VP is responsible for the conception, planning and execution of the fundraising strategy.  The VP must relish the challenge of personally soliciting donors for Major Gifts.    

The ideal candidate is a self-starting fundraiser who enjoys the art and challenge of raising money as well as planning long-term campaigns that drive repeat donors and significant planned giving.  The candidate must excel at working with the CEO to set fundraising goals as well as working with Board members to achieve fundraising objectives.
