Making a difference means getting the support of your board, staff, donors, funders, and the public. You can attract that support through the power of effective communication. And that’s called marketing. This course will focus on turning your strategic plan (or your objectives, if you don’t have a strategic plan) into a manageable marketing plan by matching the right messages with the right audiences using the right communication tools.
Participants will learn how to:

About the Presenter:
Ken Middleton has extensive media and management experience. He spent 21 years as a journalist and news manager and seven years as general manager of two television stations, including WHAS-TV. He’s reported stories, managed the coverage of major stories, and has been the spokesperson for his stations when they were the subject of media coverage. He also served five years as vice president of operations for The National Center for Family Literacy, a national nonprofit based in Louisville. For the past two years, he has consulted with businesses and nonprofits on marketing and strategic planning.
