Participants will learn how to:
§ Unlock the news value of your organization by identifying what you do that’s newsworthy and sharing that with the media
§ Use your web site (in conjunction with PR and publications) to engage - and then more deeply engage – website visitors and current supporters
About the Presenter:
Ken Middleton has extensive media and management experience. He spent 21 years as a journalist and news manager and seven years as general manager of two television stations, including WHAS-TV. He’s reported stories, managed the coverage of major stories, and has been the spokesperson for his stations when they were the subject of media coverage. He also served five years as vice president of operations for The National Center for Family Literacy, a national nonprofit based in Louisville. For the past two years, he has consulted with businesses and nonprofits on marketing and strategic planning.
