Women 4 Women Accepting Grant Applications

Contact: Misty Cruse
Executive Director

Louisville, KY (January 23, 2018) Women 4 Women is currently accepting grant applications from area nonprofits working with women and girls in Louisville. The organization plans to award more than $100,000 to local organizations this spring, bringing Women 4 Women’s giving total to nearly $1.5 million over its 25-year history.

“Women 4 Women was founded on a desire to serve women and girls. Since the initial vision 25 years ago, the mission of Women 4 Women has been to elevate the economic self-sufficiency of women and girls in this community,” said Misty Cruse, executive director for Women 4 Women.

The grant application process is a way to further the mission of Women 4 Women through collaboration with community programs already established in Women 4 Women’s primary focus areas – education and leadership, health and safety, jobs and earnings, and social change.

Since returning to a grant making organization in 2013, Women 4 Women has supported 30 local organizations through its annual grant awards. In 2017, nine organizations received grants in various amounts totaling $115,000: Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana, Louisville Central Community Center, Refuge for Women, Girls on the Run, Women Influencing Louisville, Doctors and Lawyers for Kids, Prodigal Ministries, Anchal Project, and Beaded Treasures Project.

Applications for the 2018 grant awards are available now through February 16. For more information about the program, visit w4w.org or email grants@w4w.org.
