A practical look at communicating with your peers, your boss and your staff effectively so you can achieve your goals. With some self-awareness and practical tools, you can create new habits to start to break old cycles that aren’t working. In this 3-hour workshop, we’ll talk through best practices and real-life examples to tackle tough conversations (including coaching, feedback and general conflict).
Instructor: Melissa Brock has two degrees in Communication, a B.S. from the University of Kentucky and a M.A. from the University of Louisville. She studied group cohesion, personal identity, intercultural communication and social connectedness. Melissa worked at Humana for 10 years in Human Resources and Leadership roles working with entry level employees up to the C-suite. Her reputation is as an authentic leader who connects ideas and people in order to exceed goals.
Melissa’s personal mission is to empower people to live the life most aligned to their values and unique contributions. Melissa is an artist, sister, mama and wife. She lives in Germantown with her husband, Kevin, who is a preschool teacher, and her son, Silas, who is in 1st grade at the Waldorf School of Louisville.
