Board Chair (and Executive Director) Boot Camp

November 7 @ 4:00 pm - 7:30 pm

$125 for Members / $175 for Nonmembers

Instructor: Eric Schmall

Newly appointed board chairs, vice-chairs, board officers, president-elects and other aspiring to lead a board one day. Report to Boot Camp!

Successful nonprofits are highly dependent on competent, well-governing boards. Those boards don’t evolve and maintain themselves without exemplary leadership that radiates from the key board leader, the board chair.

The Center for Nonprofit Excellence can give you a head start in assuming this role by attending our Board Chair Boot Camp. Our participants will leave this session with a solid grasp of skills and behaviors they need to possess in order to become highly effective in their role as board chairs.

Boot Camp participants will learn the key roles of an effective board chair, critical successful behaviors of board chairs, and how to develop the five key relationships superior board chairs must foster.

What past attendees are saying about Board Chair Boot Camp?

– “Gives me a much more clear sense of priorities”

– “If we apply only a small part of these concepts, we will be much better off.”

This is a must attend opportunity for board chairs (and their executive directors). There is limited seating for this event, please register now. Registration includes dinner and refreshments.

Attend with an executive director or incoming board chair and cost for both participants is only $175/$225, for members/non-members. Non-members, you must contact Darlene Whitney at 618-5330 to take advantage of this discount.
