Webinar: How to Think About Strategic Partnerships, Collaborations, and Even Mergers
August 5 @ 9:00 am - 10:15 amFree for Members / $50 for Nonmembers
Instructor: Nadya Shmavonian
COVID-19 and the fight for racial equity and justice have created unprecedented challenges for our region’s nonprofits.
As nonprofits consider strategies for the future, it is not unusual for a board or staff to explore the possibility of partnerships and collaborations with other nonprofits – and a merger might even be on the table. But before plunging into any strategic alliance, it is helpful to be familiar with common pitfalls and challenges.
Join us as we have a conversation with Nadya Shmavonian, Director of the Nonprofit Repositioning Fund, and a partner at SeaChange Capital Partners, as we discuss the precursor ideas and questions one should consider when contemplating a strategic collaboration for mission continuity.
The Repositioning Fund is a Philadelphia-based pooled fund of philanthropic partners that encourages and supports mergers and other types of formal, long-term strategic alliances and restructuring opportunities among nonprofit organizations in the Greater Philadelphia region.
