October 20 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am$25 for Members / $50 for Nonmembers
Instructor: Stephen Reily
Join the Speed Art Museum’s Director, Stephen Reily, as he shares the Speed’s in-depth work on how to publicly address and measure their commitment to racial equity, and how their work can better reflect the community they serve. You can see the Speed’s 11-page 2020 Racial Equity Report here.
What steps did they take? Why did they choose the metrics they chose? How can your organization produce a similar study/report?
Stephen Reily joined the Speed as its Director in April 2017. A longtime Speed supporter, he served on its board for 10 years, including several years chairing both its Long-Range Planning Committee and its Curatorial Committee.
Stephen currently co-chairs the board of the Creative Capital Foundation, a national grant maker in the arts. He has chaired the Greater Louisville Project and is a member of the boards of the Louisville Urban League and the J. Graham Brown Foundation. He has helped strengthen our community as a successful entrepreneur, civic leader, lawyer, and supporter of the arts. He also founded Seed Capital Kentucky, a non-profit focused on building a more sustainable future for Kentucky’s farmers.
