Job Description

Part-time – Non exempt (approximately 20 hours per week)

For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life.​As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 7 through 16, in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.

The Community Engagement Manager cultivates relationships that raise resources (funds and volunteers) to support our mentoring programs; nurtures prospective corporate and community partnerships while stewarding existing collaborations; successfully manages and grows existing fundraising events; designs and delivers new programs that generate revenue from corporate and individual donors; and develops and implements outreach strategies that connect Big Brothers Big Sisters to the needs of the communities served.

Successful candidates will have previous experience managing volunteer committees, demonstrate successful fundraising strategies as well as the ability to provide consistent growth in revenue and to develop lasting partnerships. Advanced levels of professionalism, communication, enthusiasm, and adaptability will be required for success in the position.

Salary Range: < $35,000

Job Requirements:

Education and Related Wok Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University
  • Two years of previous fundraising experience within the following fields: Fundraising, Marketing, or Special Events
  • Must have car, valid driver’s license, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums. Travel required to local communities, event locations and businesses.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to meet event needs.
