Job Description:

The Executive Director reports directly to the President of the NCJW Louisville Section Board of Directors. The Executive Director is responsible for the administration of all programs and activities of the section. Key responsibilities include fundraising, marketing, community outreach, membership and volunteer recruitment and engagement.

Salary Range: $35,000 - $50,000

Job Requirements:

Board Governance:
*Works with the Board in order to fulfill the organization mission
*Responsible for leading NCJW Louisville Section in a manner that supports and guides the organization’s mission as defined by the Board of Directors
*Responsible for communicating effectively with the Board and providing, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to function properly, and to make informed decisions

Financial Performance and Viability:
*Helps to develop resources sufficient to ensure Financial health of the organization
*Responsible for fundraising and developing other resources necessary to support NCJW Louisville Section’s mission
*In collaboration with the Board of Directors is responsible for fiscal management that generally anticipates operating within approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, and maintenance of the organization in a positive financial position

Organization Mission and Strategy:
*Works with Board and staff to ensure that the
Mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning and community outreach
*Responsible for implementation of NCJW Louisville Section’s programs that carry out the organization’s mission
*Responsible for the enhancement of NCJW Louisville Section’s image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with other professional, civic and private organizations
*Working with the Board to develop a strategic plan that ensures NCJW Louisville Section can successfully fulfill its Mission into the future

Organization Operations:
*Manages and implements appropriate resources to ensure that the operations of the organization are appropriate
*Responsible for effective administration of NCJW Louisville Section operations
*Collaborates and coordinates with staff to ensure smooth operations and collegial relationships

Professional Qualifications:
*A bachelor’s degree
*Two or more years nonprofit experience
*Transparent and high integrity leadership
*Proven ability to plan, organize and execute, with the President and the Board of Directors, successful fundraisers for the Section.
*Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to nonprofit sector
*Strong organizational abilities including planning, program development and task facilitation
*Ability to convey a vision of NCJW Louisville Section’s strategic future to staff, board, volunteers and donors
*Solid, hands-on, budget management, analysis and reporting skills
*Skills to collaborate with and motivate board members and other volunteers
*Demonstrates ability to collaborate with staff
*Ability to interface and engage diverse volunteer and donor groups
*Strong written and oral communication skills
*Strong public speaking ability
