Organization Overview: 

Affordable Energy Corporation is a nonprofit that provides utility subsidy to low and fixed income households to help ease the cost of their LG&E bills.

Job Overview:

This comprehensive position consists of community outreach, special projects and general administrative support to the director and program clientele. Responsible for providing staff support during the 6-month orientation season and general office support in program, administrative and project based work throughout the year.

Salary Range: < $35,000

Job Requirements:

 

Major Responsibilities:

 

·                    Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to schedule, prepare and set-up new client orientations, invitations and manuals.

 

·                      Responsible for representing the organization in a professional manner.

 

·                     Available for evenings and 12 to 14 hour orientation days from February to June.

 

·                     Maintain reliable transportation for travel to various orientation locations.

 

·                     Perform clients follow ups.

 

·                     Review enrollment paperwork and verify that all requirements are met.

 

·                     Collaborate with Weatherization partners to meet program requirements, outcome measurements and schedule workshops as needed.

 

·                     Track statistics relevant to enrollment goals and reporting.

 

·                      Identify outreach opportunities to engage new community partnerships.

 

·                      Develop an understanding of organizational history and programs.

 

·                      Provide continuous program support and resources to current participants.

 

·                      Maintain current records in electronic database and in paper files.

 

·                      Assist with special projects as requested.

 

 

Knowledge and Skills:

 

 

·                      Excellent customer service and written communication skills.

 

·                     Strong organization skills, time management and detail oriented.

 

·                     Strong contributor in team environments.

 

·                      Proficient in MS Programs: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe Software

 

·                     Adept at quickly learning and applying information.

 

·                     Ability to develop and maintain client and partner agency relations.

 

·                      Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

·                      Ability to work with and manage large groups.

 

·                      Ability to meet deadlines.

 

·                     Knowledge and familiarity with the Jefferson County area; zip codes and neighborhoods.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

·                     Prefer Bachelor in Social Work, Communications, or English.

 

·                     Experience in customer service.

 

·                    Proficient in MS Programs: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe Software

 

·                     Previous nonprofit or social work experience.

 

·                     Experience with low-income clientele.

 

·                    Able to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

 

·                     Able to monitor and meet enrollment goals.

 

·                     Multi-Lingual in Arabic or Spanish is a plus.

 

 

 

Additional Information:

 

 

·                     Reports directly to Program Director

 

·                     Full-Time position: 40 hours per week

 

·                     Bi-monthly payroll
