Job Description

General Description:   The person serving in this position will serve as the program coordinator for Louisville Youth Group. Hours will be completed at the discretion of staff to complete the job duties below. It is up to the employee to ensure job duties are completed within the hours of the contract.

Job Requirements:

Job Duties: 


      Expected to engage and facilitate in programming throughout week with all youth.

o   Responsible for coordinating and executing primary Friday Night programming.

o   Identify areas of programming growth, and design programming to expand LYG support and youth development.

      Manage the mentor programming including:

o   Screening and training mentors.

o   Maintaining the scheduling calendar.

o   Sending reminders to mentors of upcoming shifts.

      Maintain appropriate record keeping as needed.

      Assisting other staff and youth with fundraising events, as needed.

      Assist in planning and executing youth functions outside of programming.

      Facilitate social media posts and /or other media to update community.

      Maintain appropriate boundaries with youth, parents, staff, board members and community partners as it relates to discussing Louisville Youth Group and its entities.  Maintain appropriateness and professionalism at all times while representing Louisville Youth Group.

      Participate in recording of hours with supervisor, as desired.

      Participate in no less than bi-annual evaluations of performance with supervisor including but not limited to, self-evaluation and supervisor review of job performance. Additional evaluations may be requested.

      Participate in regular informal and formal coaching sessions with supervisor.

      Other duties as assigned.





Experience: Preferred at least 3 years of youth program development experience. Preference for experience with ages 13-20, but not required.
