Job Description

The National Stem Cell Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that funds adult stem cell and regenerative medicine research, connects children with limited resources to clinical trials for rare diseases and underwrites the National STEM Scholar Program for middle school science teachers inspiring the next generation of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) pioneers nationwide.

Reporting to the CEO and CAO, this position requires strong communication and writing skills, excellent organizational skills, internet research and social media skills. Must be self-motivated and able to work autonomously and/or collaboratively to help further the Foundation’s mission.

Scope of Position:

  • Project/ database management
  • Program and operational support
  • Administrative support for Controller
  • Administrative support for CEO
  • Travel planning for CEO, leadership team
  • Event coordination and arrangements
  • Board management (schedule meetings, coordinate mailings, provide follow up communication and regular updates)
  • Inventory management (supplies and office equipment)
  • Special projects and assistance as needed by leadership team

Database Management

  • Manage and maintain Little Green Light database: provide quarterly updates and generate reports as requested
  • Track grants made and grants received for follow up reporting (incoming and outgoing)
  • Track news and updates for funded researchers, scholars, patient advocacy programs
  • Donor acknowledgement: tax letters, personal notes, pledge reminders
  • Donor follow up scheduling for meetings, updates
  • Weekly task schedule for CEO
  • Track donor areas of interest for information updates
  • Donor/funding partner/grant recipient recognition acknowledgement: clippings, articles, public events, etc.

Program Support

  • Provide operational support for the National STEM Scholar Program
  • Liaise with NSCF partners to complete projects for the National STEM Scholar Program
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all NSCF partners

Office Management

  • Board management: schedule meetings, coordinate mailings, provide follow up communication and regular updates on Foundation activities
  • Travel planning for CEO, leadership team
  • Event arrangements as needed: programs, fundraisers, speaking engagements, local and/or national events
  • Mailings: holiday cards and gifts, others as needed
  • Manage basic office administrative tasks

Special Projects Support

  • Support NSCF leadership on special projects as needed
  • Attend NSCF events as needed

Salary Range: $35,000 - $50,000

Bachelors degree and three or more years of work experience preferred.
