Job Description

The Social Media Manager is a new position responsible for making regular postings about neighborhood events and activities in the Cherokee Triangle and promoting key messages through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other platforms as identified by the Communications Committee. Also responsible for updating content on the webpage as directed by the committee. Helps the Committee in the development and execution of the annual communications plan. Assists in the development of content. Manages the deployment of the communications calendar. Works closely with the Office Administrator by managing emails and other tasks as directed. Monitors and reports on activities of the social media accounts.

Salary Range: < $35,000

Job Requirements:

  • Proven knowledge and experience in social media.
  • Experience in marketing and promotion.
  • Excellent written communications skills with emphasis on grammar and proofreading.
  • Detail oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Previous experience in working with and/or for a non profit organization.
  • Knowledge of and/or residence in Cherokee Triangle preferred.
  • Position requires 10-20 hours per month.
