Job Description

Family & Children’s Place’s HANDS program has a full-time opening for a Spanish speaking parent visitor who is responsible for interviewing/conducting the Parent Survey with high risk expectant parents and parents of new-borns. This person is also responsible for visiting with assigned program participants on a quarterly basis to provide an additional perspective to support the family and the family support worker (FSW) who is assigned to that family. The PV provides information and referrals to community resources. The position utilizes trauma-informed evidenced based practices and policies in its service delivery. He/she may be required to conduct home visits to meet program and client needs. The incumbent must be fluent in Spanish.

Some weekend and evening hours may be required due to client demands.


Fluency in Spanish required. Bachelor’s degree in social work (BSSW, BSW), psychology or master’s degree in social work (MSW, MSSW) or Psychology required;

Screening requirements

Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse and Neglect check, pre-employment drug and TB screens.
